Methodology

Most popular categories
Published tools grouped by catalog category. Brokers are a separate directory and are excluded from this table. Share is that category’s count divided by all published tools with a category.
Fastest growing tools
Categories ranked by how many published tools were added in the last 90 days. Tools in this table are featured or verified listings from those leading categories, newest first. This is catalog intake, not download or traffic growth.
Most reviewed platforms
Published brokers ordered by the stored reviews_count field. Traderfolio does not invent reviews. Rows with a zero count are omitted.
Most searched tools
On-site /tools searches matched to published names and slugs. Below 50 queries in the window, rank is curated-stack appearances plus compare-page mentions — a demand proxy, not claimed search volume.
Most popular broker categories
Published brokers grouped by stored broker_type. Share is that type’s count divided by all published brokers. Review totals in this table are sums of stored reviews_count, not a Traderfolio rating.

Questions

Can journalists and newsletters cite this report?
Yes. Cite the year URL, link back, and keep the methodology line. JSON and CSV downloads are the machine-readable source. Embeds must keep the Traderfolio attribution.
Is this global market share?
No. Every table is Traderfolio catalog composition: published tools, curated stacks, stored broker review counts, and on-site search. Missing values stay out of the ranking.
How is “most searched” calculated?
On-site catalog searches are matched to published tool names and slugs. Until that sample reaches 50 queries in the report window, the table uses curated-stack appearances and compare-page mentions as the catalog demand proxy and says so on the page.
Do you invent ratings or reviews?
No. Review counts are the values stored on published broker listings. Tools do not get fabricated user reviews. Structured data never adds star ratings.
How often does this update?
The 2026 edition re-reads the live catalog. Counts move when listings are published, unpublished, stacked, or when stored broker review fields change. The year URL stays the citation permalink.

Link the year URL. JSON and CSV are the machine-readable source. Embeds keep the Traderfolio attribution.

For newsrooms

Use the year permalink so the citation stays stable. Attribute Traderfolio. Do not describe these tables as global market share.
